Optional Additional Charges: If you need a major hair change (curly to straight, straight to curly) please book your shoot on an  AFTERNOON. If you need to shoot with both hair “looks”, one hour will be added to your shooting time, and two surcharges will be applied: $50 to the makeup/hair artist and $100 to the photographer. If you simply need to have that major hair change done before your shoot, and are only shooting with one of those hair “looks”, you will only have the $50 makeup/hair surcharge added (for example, you’re arriving with curly hair and need it to be straightened for your shoot). Please communicate either in your booking notes

  • Retouching: Retouches available at $58+ per photo and are not included in the shoot. This retouch includes a high-resolution image and up to 30 minutes of retouching time. Additional retouching is $25 per 15 minutes. In most cases, 30 minutes is enough time but retouching varies on individual need and level of retouching you request.
  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of $350 is required to reserve a session. Rescheduling can occur up to seven days before a shoot. Rescheduling with less than seven days’ notice would result in losing your deposit. You may reschedule your appointment twice without losing your deposit, so long as it is within a year of your initial session date.

  • Getting it Right the First Time: We want you to love your images, but we do not offer refunds. What we do offer is all our effort and expertise in getting the kinds of images you see in our portfolio. We’re very lucky in that we do this every day. Small adjustments are made for each client, but we are very practiced and consistent in what we do. Your images will look like our portfolio images, but with you in them. Here are some things you can do to be sure your experience and results are as good as what you see in our portfolio.
#1: Know what you need. If you need to express something in your shots, If your hair needs to be a certain way, if your makeup needs to be a certain way, if your agent or manager needs a certain “look”, prepare for that and communicate those things with us. Ask to review your images during the shoot. Don’t let it be a distraction, but make sure things are as you want them to be.
#2: Collaborate with us. Tell us what you do and don’t like in our portfolio. We need flexibility to do our jobs well but if you hate a certain background, please tell us.
#3: Prepare. Get the clothes you need. It matters. Get sleep, book out your day, take care of your skin, get your hair cut and/or colored by a trusted stylist. Get your brows shaped if you need them shaped, get your upper lip hair bleached/waxed if you need to. Schedule our makeup/hair person. The better you prepare, the more comfortable you’ll be.
#4: Most importantly, engage. Engage the photographer, engage the camera. Your photos need to be alive and active and real. A headshot is not something that is done to you. It’s a living process that you engage in collaboratively, just like the work you do on stage and in film. Be present, be active.
